As for me, I'm a Hokie, and I've got my tickets and hotel room, and I cannot wait for Stanford, [shadow=red,left,300]it's going to be a great game. [/shadow]

On paper they all look like very compelling match-ups. I'm pulling for the Big 10 in the bowls. I don't like the Pac-10 and most SEC teams so go Hokies!!!! For the National Championship game I'll hold my nose and root for Oregon - mostly because I don't like the allegations surrounding Auburn. This is the best part for me. I really root for the officials to call a great game and my team almost always wins!

so long as you are cheering for the hokies FF7. Anyone have any info on B12 officials? When i'm not in Lane Stadium watching the Hokies, I'm watching ACC games, so I am very familiar with the likes of Ron Cherry (giving him the business)... Usually when I am watching a B12 game, i'm not really paying attention. i feel like the name Greg Burks comes to mind...anyone care to help me out...? haha.

There are nine Big 12 refs in total. They are Greg Burks, Scott Novak, Tom Walker, Randy Cristal, Karl Richins, Cooper Castleberry, Mike Defee, Matt Loffleur and Rick Loumiet. I listed the more well known ones first. The last 2 years, the Big 12 ref in the BCS was Scott Novak, but he did the Big 12 championship game this year so he is out. The 2 veteran refs are Tom Walker and Randy Cristal while the up and coming one is Greg Burks. I think either Burks or Walker will get the Orange Bowl assignmeny as Cristal's assignments have been getting worse over the last few years.

Tom Walker does indeed have the Orange Bowl and Randy Christal is the alternate. Shawn Hochuli will be the back judge....

I think Cristal and Bible have come to the close of their careers, could be wrong, but they are not as visible as they once were, and the years are catching up on them as it is on several guys in the NFL..

Another site posted information (since closed and taken down citing privacy for the calling officials) that Lemonnier has the National Championship and Witvoet is his alternate.

Bible is indeed in the UFL. Cristal is not in the UFL . He is still a Big 12 Referee, however he has not Bern getting the assignments he used to and he is clearly towards the end of his career.
