This is from a TWIB segment where Mark Grant mimics some NL umpires of the 80s. The last one is Dutch Rennert. This is the only place I can find him working the plate and making his great strike call. If you missed Dutch working a game, you missed a treat: bit.ly/GFwnNZ

Dutch was absolutely fun to watch behind the plate. He said he developed that style in the minor leagues because the scoreboard didn't always work properly and needed to make sure everyone knew whether a pitch was a ball or strike. And he was regarded as one of the better ball-strike umpires for most of his career. In several polls, he was ranked in the top 5 NL umpires, along with the likes of Doug Harvey, Frank Pulli, and Bruce Froemming.

I can't tell you how many joyous days I had as a kid watching TWIB.
In the early-mid 80s, TWIB provided many hours of fun while not doing the silly things other kids my age were doing.
