I think you have to let the players play, and leave it at that. If its a foul, then throw a flag, it's slowing the pace of the game down. Of course the league would disagree with me in a heartbeat, do the owner's really want a boring game, and lose fan interest?? I don't think so...

Just because a rule is written in the rule book as black and white, does not mean that interpenetration does not play into it. I think that is what is missing this preseason. Going by the letter of the law strictly is killing the pace of the game, I think this is mostly talk and it be be more "normal" during the regular season.

I get that the league is trying to crack down on the Seattle Seahawks strategy of mauling WR's every down because the officials won't have the gumption to call it every down, but I think there are better ways of going about it. First, do away with illegal contact that does not involve physcially grabbing the WR. Also, if the QB never looks that direction do not call it

Not a Blandino fan. Parties on a bus and officiating hasn't gotten any better since he got here. Guys getting playoff games last year that were highly questionable. Messing with rule changes. I get that McNally and Seeman set a high bar and MP moved the officiating department into the media light and more accountability but since MP left there's been a lot to be desired for.

I said it before and I will say it again. They most assuredly will loosen up when the season starts and the games are as unwatchable as they are now. And when they looen up, they will deny it and say the players have adjusted. Same way it happened in the NHL.
