With Chad Browns spot open now, and other spots open due to health issues, etc...How many officials are on the 2014 roster now, that we know of? Besides Al Riveron, and some of the ex officials who are in the replay booth now, could they work, with the current union deal in place? I would bet that they couldn't, so in the case if another official (heaven forbid) gets hurt, etc. what would the league do to fill spots? Any thoughts??

Jeff Lamberth might be out longer than we expected. Laird Hayes returned last week.
This means that we will have a U, HL, LJ, SJ, and BJ filling in each week. It also means everyone must stay healthy for the duration. There are only two officials that will not be working on the final Sunday as it stands now. Remember, no one can work a Week 17 Thursday/Sunday or Sunday/Monday because all games are on Sunday.
Knock on wood, everything goes well here on out. Otherwise, we might see a white hat put on a black hat in relief.

How long is Daryl Lewis out? If I recall correctly last week was the first week he missed.

"Indefinitely." That's all I have. Was observed to be having mobility problems to the point where the FJ had to provide assistance. I think he tried to gut it out, but it was too much.
