Austin took a spill on the Oregon fumble return. Looks like he's OK, though.

Land Clark is phenomenal, but I didn't know it was possible/allowable to get the conference championship game AND two bowl games.

So Land Clark gets the Pac-12 title game and TWO bowl game assignments?
Wonder how he was able to get 3 postseason games...

The Pac-12 has always sent the officials that did the Conference Championship game to bowl games. They have 7 crews and 5 bowl games. They also have 3 first year referees, so I'm not totally surprised they gave one referee 2 games.

The Pac-12 has always sent the officials that did the Conference Championship game to bowl games. They have 7 crews and 5 bowl games. They also have 3 first year referees, so I'm not totally surprised they gave one referee 2 games. To go along with this the Pac 12 is the only conference that does not use All Star crews for the Championship game. They use the crew that ranked out the best and gives them the championship game. So Clark working that game meant his crew ranked number 1. What I do not agree with is giving him and three of his crew members two bowl games. My guess is Jim Blackwood did not want to have 5/7 guys at each position work a bowl game but there is nor reason for Clark and 3 of his crew members to literally get three postseason games. If they did not want to use two first year referees they could have put Terry Leyden on a Bowl Game. I guess Terry really had a bad season because I think they would have put him on a bowl game if he was even close to being good enough.
