Oh for the days where players had some respect for the game and after a catch just handed the ball to the official. All these "me great" tantrums are just not professional and have no place in sports.

This display by the Rams will get the attention of the NFL. Particularly so since the Rams defensive coordinator is none other than Gregg Williams.

Not sure about that flag pickup as it appeared that 23 of St. Louis led with his helmet even if ball wasn't catchable

I was able to watch some football while keeping vigil next to grandma this afternoon.
Umpire Dan Ferrell had a nice catch call on the tying Miami TD late in the game.
I thought the taunting calls in Dallas were spot on. HL106 looked a little gimpy but was able to go.
In seeing the Rams-Giants brawl, I was impressed with BJ104, Dale Shaw and the hard work he did.
I'll try to get a photo album started tomorrow night.

Thoughts and prayers for Grandma FF7, I think the NFL needs to look at harsher penalties for anyone who taunts, removes his helmet, or gets tossed from a game...why not suspend them for the next game, and with that they would not get their game check...this might curtail most of this, but once in awhile there will be someone who gets a bad case of stupidity, and does something crazy, but 4 players ejected in one game??? I don't think I have ever seen that many players tossed!!

Regardless of who I root for,or what this user name is, tell me what place does taunting have in football or any sport? Subjective? I respectively disagree.

So there was a play Saturday night in the Chargers/49ers game where the 49ers scored, and there were some post TD chipiness between both players, flags came out and the touchdown was disallowed. As I was in a bar watching the game, could not hear the explaination. It seemed all the flags came out well after the TD was scored, so I am a bit confused as to why the TD was called back. Also, cannot seem to find video of it as NFL.com is not playing nice w/me today.

Taunting is something that is subjective and different for every official. It's not like a punch, where you can see it. The officials will be under too much pressure if taunting results in an automatic ejection. AND it's simply not fair for the officials to determine consistently what is taunting and what is not. Taunting is a part of every sport and should NEVER be penalized so severely.

Getting in the guys face? Standing over someone yelling at them? Maybe that crosses the line. Standing still, staring at your teammate after a big play? Um...no. But to give the official the ability to toss a player for whatever he THINKS is taunting? Madness.

Taunting over a player and yelling is one thing, staring at your teammate, no, I agree, is not taunting, I don't see how these two acts would even be similar...
