This is a famous penalty call by Carl Cheffers in a Dallas-Houston game in 2010, when he had a bad moment.

I'm pretty sure this was well discussed when it happened. Carl has obviously done quite well in officiating, and while I don't know him or his personality, if he's like most officials that I do know, he'd probably be the first to offer this is a funny example of a one-time "goof-up"; but this 1 play does nothing to define Carl's career (and I know you don't claim that is does, but.......)
Why post this?

In Red Cashion's book he writes that he bucked up Cheffers after the game. Cheffers was mortified but Red counseled him to "own it" and have fun with it. Learn from it, smile about it and move on.

I post it because, as FredFan7 said, it was mentioned in Red Cashion's book. Personally, I didn't remember the call so I looked for it. I didn't posted to make fun of Cheffers (who I think is an excellent referee) or anything like that, as Cashion said, everyone has a goof, but you can overcome it.
