Observe the crews.
I am thankful for my faith, family, warm house and too much food to eat. I'm also thankful that I live in a country where there is football!
Happy Thanksgiving and observe away!

I would not want to be the person who advised Jason Garrett to challenge Greg Olsen's catch at the end of the first quarter. What they thought they saw I don't know.

Good game by Parry's crew. From what I saw I'd grade it 3.5.

CBS with the traditional officiating crew greetings. Always a nice touch.

I could not make out all of it but Pereira was on the early game and he said the recent errors were "unacceptable".

A very, very, VERY marginal illegal contact by Adrian Hill.

A very, very, VERY marginal illegal contact by Adrian Hill. And after having ONE penalty called on them last week (declined) ALL of the penalties this game are on Chicago.

Bears at Packers( video) When will ball carriers learn to make sure they are in the endzone before flipping the ball out of their hands? Not enough evidence for Ed Hochuli to overturn the call, but ball carriers should not have to put the officials into this position.

Hill with a head scratching OPI call on Green Bay.

Hochuli no longer makes those around him better. I really hope I'm watching his last season. Never thought I would ever say that, but it's time.

On a more positive note, considering the competitiveness (or lack-there-of) of the day games, I thought that Parry and Torbert both did a good job today.

Adrian Hill with a two shaky calls in the secondary, but I thought the crew overall did a very nice job in Green Bay.

Not enough evidence for Ed Hochuli to overturn the call, but ball carriers should not have to put the officials into this position. When will the league put cameras on the end lines? We had a discussion on Facebook about it. I suggested they put two cameras on each end line. Then hand two cameras over each sideline like the one they use in the middle of the field. Use those two hanging cameras to line up with the yard to gain marker or the end line when appropriate. I know that won't help the networks show some fancy new angle of a 1 yard run up the middle, but it would CERTAINLY help get these calls right.

Blandino has certainly infused technology into how the game is officiated, but he needs to be careful not to have the game officiated ENTIRELY by technology. Doing so is a crutch for the lack (or in his case, the total absence of) on-field experience. I'm all for replay to fix a correctable error, but not run the entire game.
