Any word?
I assume PAC-12 will have the championship game.

www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/eye-on-college-football/25407923/college-football-playoff-avoids-acc-refs-but-gets-pac-12-refs-in-title-gamePac-12 has the Title Game, Big Ten Orange, and Big 12 Cotton. Second straight year of no ACC in the CFP. If it goes like last year, that means SEC and ACC will take 2 of the 4 remaining New Years 6 games. My Guesses: Championship- Michael Batlan (2nd guess: Land Clark), conferences usually don't have a Referee do back to back National Championships for that conference Cotton- Mike Defee (2nd guess: Brad Van Vark), Van Vark seems to have surpassed Eck as the number 2 guy in the Big 12 based on assignments this year Orange- Dan Capron (2nd guess: Mike Cannon) Other NY6 Games: Peach- Tom Ritter Fiesta- Hubert Owens Rose- Jeff Flanagan Sugar- Ron Cherry

The Sugar Bowl has Ole Miss, so how and why would the SEC be assigned that game? The Peach Bowl has Florida State, so why would the ACC be assigned to that game? Sugar and either Fiesta/Rose=ACC Peach and either Fiesta/Rose=SEC

I would guess the SEC would get the Fiesta since Notre Dame gets ACC crews in the regular season.

I wish they'd wait until after the semifinal game to decide on the National Championship crew because the current system pretty much forecloses the possibility of an SEC crew working the Championship game. Due to the size of the SEC, chances are they will have one team or more in the Top 4. By waiting until after the semifinal you can spread the wealth.

Looks like Scott Campbell has the Go Daddy.com bowl and Joe Pester has the Military Bowl. It will be each of their first games as a Referee in a Bowl Game.
Others are the Big Ten has Cactus and Liberty, either Big 12 or MWC has the Independence, MAC has the Las Vegas Bowl, PAC-12 has the Texas Bowl, AAC has the Heart of Dallas, and SEC has the Armed Forces.

Curles seems to consistently be a bowl referee. Surprised he hasn't gotten an SEC Championship Game for as long as he's been in the conference. I know he had the controversy in 2009, but overall he's been solid.
