Team A scores TD on 1st possession in OT. EP kick good and team B flagged for hurdling. If A takes the point B should be penalized 15 yards and start their possession 1st and 10 from the 25? This is what I gather from all I can find in rule book. Thanks for your help.

Welcome footballfever! I hope you keep posting.
I don't have my rule book at work, so I'll have to look it up. If there is a kickoff, your interpretation is correct. I'll check to see if there are any exceptions in OT.

Case book 10.4.5 situation E. Appears 1st and goal from 25 not 1st and 10. I asked several of my officiating friends and they also agree first and 25.

If your state is following the NFHS OT procedure, it is first and goal from the 25.
Under this procedure the goal line is ALWAYS the line to gain.

Under this procedure the goal line is ALWAYS the line to gain. Precisely. Using NFHS rules you'll still need the box, but you might as well wrap up the chains and put them back in the storage room once you reach OT. There will NEVER be a situation - no matter what - where the chains will be needed. EXAMPLE - following a series of penalties as well as "sacks" Team A has the ball 3rd and goal at their 40 yard line. On the next play Team B commits a roughing the passer foul and the pass was incomplete. Team A gets a new set of downs - its 1st down at their 25 yard line. But it's STILL first and goal to go. The goal line is ALWAYS the line to gain in OT. Honestly that rule has always struck me as a little bit odd. If I was the Rules Czar I would change it so that Team A would have first and ten in the situation described above. But I'm not so the rule is what it is.

I think first and goal from the 10 for HS is for two reasons.
1. Make it easier to score (avoid multiple OTs) 2. Keep the kicking game viable.
