Dana Demuth has not appeared in a spring training game. Let us know if you see/have seen him call a game.

Mike Everitt had to leave the game in Detroit after taking a fastball off the mask. It appeared Pirates catcher Francisco Cervelli was crossed up. Tony Randazzo will take over behind the plate.

Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder could have handled the plate better than Hunter Wendelstedt did last night in Miami.

Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder could have handled the plate better than Hunter Wendelstedt did last night in Miami. Looking at Brooks Baseball plot, it was a wide zone, but relatively consistent. No obvious misses inside the strike zone. It is hard to tell with high and low pitches because the site doesn’t adjust for differences in size of the strike zones of different players. A strike to Aaron Judge may be a ball to Dustin Pedroia even if in the same location based on absolute values

Apparently, the camera that had the best look at the play was being operated by Stevie Wonder as it panned way too far the left and missed the tag completely.
