As I have said before many times, mlb is the only sport that changes the way the game is officiated by putting two extra umps on the field for post season games. Perhaps if the first base ump was making the call last night, he would have had the perspective to see the fans interference play differently. In this day and age what with video replay, and don't get me started on how imbecilic the system they put in, six umpires om the field is not helpful.

While I disagree with the ultimate call last night and having seen the replay several times and listened to everybody's take, I now feel it was certainly not a homer. The So Betts even if he was in the stands, brought the ball back. It was not touched by anybody. Therefore, the proper ruling should have been ball in play. Since West ruled the ball dead when he called interference, Chelsea should have overruled and decided where to put the runners (probably second and third).
