This might be one of the few times I agree with the announcers. Why exactly was he ejected? He did not instigate. He did not shove or punch anyone. Just once, I'd like to see a player look at the umpire and say "Nah... I'm not leaving." I do realize this would, at the very least, cause the umpires to leave the game and the game be suspended. But, it would also cause MLB to look at the situation. It certainly appears that many umpires are way too quick to eject a pitcher for hitting a player. Not every HBP is intentional. Sometimes the ball just gets away. But, it has gotten to the point where umpires just run the pitchers, seemingly, to send a message.

I think Gorman ran the pitcher for throwing his glove down and initiating a fighting posture that inflamed the situation.
