My guess on Fiesta Bowl crew: Referee- Matt Loeffler Umpire- Tom Quick CJ- Lee Hedrick (Even though he’s been a Referee the last 3 seasons they’ve used him as a CJ in Bowl Season) HL- Gary Jayroe LJ- Chad Lorance SJ- Rob Skelton BJ- Grantis Bell FJ- Greg Thomas I agree. Either Loeffler or Owens.

Either Loeffler or Owens. Won’t be Owens since he worked the Celebration Bowl. Probably between Loeffler and Williamson.

I would guess Loeffler because Williamson had a rough Iron Bowl. But if it is Williamson, good for him. Havent seen him much this season.

Never mind, Footballzebras has the Crew headed by Ken Williamson. Prediction was otherwise correct except Ron Turner is your CJ

Sitting in the stands at the Peach Bowl. On every snap the SJ starts deeper than the B.

No love for Marc Curles even if he did scab? Curles has had very few “big” games since the screwup in 09. He had Auburn-Florida this year but other than that I rarely see him on the top games.

I want to know others thoughts on both the targeting as well as the catch-fumble review. I thought they got the targeting call correct. However, I would not have overturned the catch- fumble. I think that while he may have not had it, it was extremely close, and you have to stick with the call on the field. Very very difficult to overturn.

The pass was incomplete. The time element is clearly not satisfied when viewed in real time. The receiver was trying to gain his balance when he took those “four steps” that everyone was whining about. You can’t use slo-mo to distort reality.
The reason the H did not blow it dead was because they are taught to let it play out when there’s doubt so replay can step in. If he blew it dead for INC and was wrong, replay can’t bail you out.

Are you going to give your objective analysis of Ken Williamson’s “rough” Iron Bowl, or were you just talking out your rear end like usual?

Post bowl game observations here. Why are the referees for the CFP championship bowls chosen from the SEC and ACC since those schools could possibly be playing in the CFP championship game? Would it have been better to chose referees from other conferences instead of having an ACC Referees officiating the SEC VS BIG12 game and the SEC referees officiating the BIG TEN VS ACC qualifying games. I see the BIG 10 referees will officiating the championship game that will great with nothing at stake. There should be no officials from any conferences that have any schools participating in the national championship qualifying and championship games. I believe the officials are impartial but there should be no question of this during any of the games for the national championship.
