My B1G "all star" crew would be pretty similar, in my amateur opinion, to the Sugar Bowl crew: Sugar Bowl - New Orleans, LA Georgia vs. Baylor Officials - B1G R - Jerry McGinn U - Ed Feaster HL - Mike Dolce LJ - Dan Gallagher FJ - Tim Maguire SJ - John Hayes BJ - Kevin Schwarzel CJ - Bryan Banks I definitely like that the B1G has finally given a "big" bowl game to Jerry McGinn. Here is a story from when he worked the Rose Bowl as a Big East referee: Jerry McGinn from Lycoming College, Williamsport, PA

I'm only three months late on this, but I was really happy to see Jerry McGinn get a New Year's Six game. Among all Big Ten refs, he seemed to be getting the fewest marquee games in recent years. So I was glad to see him get this assignment.

So I was glad to see him get this assignment. It meant that he was the best white hat last year in the Big 10. Expect to see him more and more in the upcoming years as officials start to retire.

I have enjoyed his work for many years and was happy to see him work the Sugar Bowl.
He's older than I thought. Article says he graduated from college in 1978. I hope he puts in another good 3-4 years.

He was a longtime Big East Referee before joining the Big Ten even working a few BCS Games for them. But last year was his first time working the NY6 with the Big Ten.

Would want to work a national championship as well as Ohio State- Penn State. That’s what Dan Capron did.
