Packers defensive lineman Kenny Clark tackles 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo low and draws a roughing-the-passer penalty. However, it looks like this should not have been a foul. One of the many interpretive notes for roughing the passer includes the following:
It is not a foul if the defender swipes or grabs a passer in the knee area or below in an attempt to tackle him, provided he does not make forcible contact with the helmet, shoulder, chest, or forearm.
In this case, it looks like Clark does what he needs to do, despite initiating the tackle low.
Side judge Eugene Hall calls a pretty straight forward pass interference on Kevin King of the Packers
The announcers said it was "a late flag." Sometimes the official reaches for the flag and his hand slips one, two or three times. Sometimes the flag doesn't fly true and the official has to pick it up off the ground and throw again.
Or maybe the announcers think the flag wasn't thrown until it appears in their TV monitor.

Quiet Night
Well, the crowd was loud, but the officials had a fairly quiet night.
John Hussey worked Super Bowl XLV as a line judge and this assignment shows his skills as a white hat are near peak form and he's on the cusp of a Super Bowl assignment.
With the game basically over at halftime, the biggest goal for the officiating crew was to give both teams their best game, give both teams a fair shake and keep the game under control. Derick Bowers and Tom Hill both did a good job in preventative officiating.
Maybe a quibble here or there with a call or two, but Hussey's crew can be proud of their efforts tonight.
