What happened in the Miami at Virginia game? Almost ten minutes of real time elapsed between snaps, apparently due to a clock error. Twitter is destroying Jeff Flanagan and his crew. Did they change the game clock multiple times? I didn’t see it live.

What happened in the Miami at Virginia game? Almost ten minutes of real time elapsed between snaps, apparently due to a clock error. Twitter is destroying Jeff Flanagan and his crew. Did they change the game clock multiple times? I didn’t see it live. Miami was flagged for an illegal substitution with 47 seconds left. The penalty came with a 10 second runoff. Miami elected not to take a timeout to avoid the runoff. The confusion was over where the clock should be reset to. The foul occurred with 47 seconds left, which meant the clock needed to be reset to 37 seconds and started on Flanagan's ready for play signal, which is eventually what happened. As messy the process was, I believe they got it right in the end.
