Predict PAC-12 gets the NCG since ACC had it last year and those are the two leagues without a team. Mothershed is my guess for NCG referee.
Other predictions for CFP/NY6 referees:
ACC: Heaser
SEC: Autrey
Big Ten: Cannon
Big 12: Campbell

My guess is Strimling for the Peach. I'd also put VanderVelde higher up in the Big 12 pecking order. I do like Campbell for the Rose. He was the U for the Rose Bowl about 10-years ago.

Jeff Heaser gets the NCG, according to the grid zebrablog posted in the BTFS exclusive thread. Jason Autrey and Chris Coyte get the two semifinals. Mike VanderVelde gets the Rose. Congrats to all the crews!!

Autrey has started his SEC career working 2 NY6 games. He is come in to the league and immediately became the top guy, very impressive! wouldn't surprise me if he gets added to the MDP in the near future.
Good to see Vandervelde getting the top spot in the Big 12. I have always been impressed with his work going back to the MWC. Another guy who could be on the MDP list in the future.

Agreed on both, Russ. I think Jon Noli and Christian Watson have the potential to be the next VanderVelde in terms of a move to the Big 12 and high-profile assignments. |

Just curious, but any thoughts on how or why the ACC was selected for a second consecutive CFP Title game? Obviously SEC, BIG and Big 12 were knocked out but PAC-12 could have had the game.
Just curious on how its decided?

Full bowl assignments will post at 9 a.m. Eastern on Football Zebras.
Some of the news sausage making: We embargoed the assignments at the request of CFO and bowl administration. While the timeline they were seeking was too restrictive, we offered a compromise. Even though we did not receive a response from our offer, we decided to abide by the revised timeline.

Big 10: Amanda Sauer getting a game is good. No game for Byron Banks...thought Cannon would rank higher.
ACC: Suprise to see no Jeff Flanagan
Pac 10: Really suprised to see McCabe getting a game after the earlier missing the down in the season. Suprised to see no game for Strimling
Big 12: Suprise to see Boitmann over Alvarez...
SEC: Good to see Jon Bible doing a replay game...suprise it is not for Big 12 though
