Many thanks to all who work so hard to get the college assignments every week. This is a popular thread every weekend - many times the most popular thread.
The people who post these assignments do a LOT of work and research and I thank you all!

Excuse my ignorance but can someone tell me if Refs keep the same team of officials each week like the NFL or are all positions appointed independently and if there is one site where I can see all the college officials for 2023. Please and thank you All conference assign officials as a crew. There may be some crew switches for a specific week if, say, the crew is working at the umpire's alma mater. The crew will then swap umpires with another crew. Dick Honig was the premier referee in the Big 10 for years. He was a Michigan alum. Even when he was the best referee in the Big 10, he never worked Michigan-Ohio State. Also on weeks early in the season depending upon how many games a conference has to cover there may be some mixing of crews to cover every game. Example a B1G versus a Group of Five game may have a crew of B1G and MAC officials working together.

The key is that he was involved in athletics. Former B1G ref Dan Capron went to both Illinois and Indiana, and he wasn’t excluded from working those games.
