Nice closeup of linesmen working the finger whistle. Hockey is the only sport where the officials are expected to step in early on in a scrap. Baseball umpires and football referees used to do it, and they and the players would go down in a heap, but now they step back and take numbers. But hockey linesmen wade right into the middle of one of these things.
As an aside, it's a wonder someone hasn't lost a finger to a sharp skate in one of these scrums.
