Triplette's crew on the call tonight. What do/did you think of the call?

This is the first time I've seen Triplette this year. He is starting to show his age.
So far, a good start to the crew.
I rare sound anymore on an NFL field....a METAL whistle (from Jeff Bergman)!!

Good mechanics by Triplette and the umpire when the Broncos brought Tebow in. For those who don't know, the referee is supposed to stand on the same side as the quarterback's throwing arm.

Good work by Jeff Bergman and Scott Steenson to break up a scrum at the goal-line. Good work by Steenson to flag the perpatrator (Denver #99) and good work by Steenson hanging tough as he got banged around in the scrum.

99 should have been tossed for making contact with Steenson and knocking his hat off.

Triplette got whacked by two Chargers celebrating an Orton sack at the end of the first half.
You could make a case for a toss (I think Norv Turner was) but it think that is a gray area.

AWESOME spot by Jeff Bergman on the Rivers dive for a first down on that scramble.

This is one of the more senior crews this year - 98 years combined experience.
Just eyeballing the other crews and years of service, I think this IS the most senior crew this year:
Triplette - 14 years Rice - 15 years Mackie - 3 years Bergman - 19 years Steenson - 19 years Wyant - 19 years Freeman - 9 years

Crew overall gets an A-.
Bergman and Steenson both get A+ for making hard sideline calls and for breaking up a potentially big fracas.
The deep wings had a lot to call tonight. I was frustrated at ESPN for not showing some replays of the pass interference calls. The deep officials also did a very good job collapsing on the pile at the goal-line after that aforementioned scrum. I didn't see any stinkers downfield, so I'll give them an A.
I'd give Rice an A. Hard game but he didn't factor into much. He had good mechanics in the backfield.
I'd give Triplette an A for judgement and a C for game flow in regard to enforcing penalties. They wanted to get it right and I applaud them for that, but the flow of the game got a little clunky when they were trying to sort out simple 5-yarders. B overall for Triplette.

I agree with FredFan 7 that Bergman and Steenson did exceptional work. I thought that both Triplette and Rice looked tired from the getgo.
