Which current R's have not done a Thanksgiving game?
Which current R's currently has done the most?
All time?
Curious...

This is at least the second Thanksgiving Day game for Winter in the last five years.
I think the NFL tries to spread it out among the crews.

This will be Carey's 2nd Thanksgiving game in the last 4 seasons. He worked the game between the Colts and Falcons in 2007.
Back when there were only 2 Thanksgiving games, the assignments were a little more spread out. With the addition of the 3rd game, we will probably see every referee work a Thanksgiving game once every 5 or 6 years.

I was a little bored tonight, so I went through the gamebooks for Thanksgiving games beginning in 2001. Here's what I came up with:
2001 GB @ DET: Jeff Triplette DEN @ DAL: Tom White
2002 NE @ DET: Larry Nemmers WSH @ DAL: Terry McAulay
2003 GB @ DET: Ron Winter MIA @ DAL: Pete Morelli
2004 IND @ DET: Tom White CHI @ DAL: Bill Leavy
2005 ATL @ DET: Pete Morelli DEN @ DAL: Gerry Austin
2006 MIA @ DET: Ron Winter TB @ DAL: Walt Anderson DEN @ KC: Bill Vinovich
2007 GB @ DET: Scott Green NYJ @ DAL: Bill Carollo IND @ ATL: Mike Carey
2008 TEN @ DET: Jeff Triplette SEA @ DAL: John Parry ARZ @ PHI: Al Riveron
2009 GB @ DET: Bill Leavy OAK @ DAL: Carl Cheffers NYG @ DEN: Tony Corrente
2010 NE @ DET: Ron Winter NO @ DAL: Jerome Boger CIN @ NYJ: Mike Carey
So, the only referees who have worked multiple Thanksgiving games over the last 10 seasons are Winter (3), Morelli (2), Carey (2), and Triplette (2). The only active referees who haven't worked at least once on Thanksgiving over the last 10 seasons are Blakeman, Coleman, Hochuli, and Steratore.
I can understand why Blakeman and Steratore haven't had any Turkey Day assignments yet, but I'm not sure why we haven't seen Hochuli or Coleman over the last 10 years...

It seems like the league tries to get at least one young official and one vet working on Thanksgiving. Regarding Hochuli and Coleman it may be possible that either has asked not to be assigned a Thanksgiving game or other crews may have been geographically more desirable for Thanksgiving since it is such a short week from the previous assignment if the crew did not have a bye th prior week
