I figured since we are getting close to the end of the season and we have all seen most of the refs this season, that I would pose the question:
Who would you guys vote for the Super Bowl?

I have to say that I WANT Winter to work it because I think that his window is almost closed. He's also put together a good string of solid seasons.
But to be honest, I THINK we'll see either Leavy, Corrente, or Morelli. All 3 of these men are very deserving, too.

you left off riveron, blakeman, triplette and green. i can see why you left off riveron and blakeman, since they are too new, but cheffers is too new as well. green aslo makes sense, since i highly doubt he'll get back to back, but triplette should be up there...

Even though I listed Corrente as the SB refs in my earlier pick, I switched to Parry because of the quality of his work. I could live with a lot of choices.

Riverton and Blakeman have not been referees 5 years and Green had the sb last year. Triplette should be included in the poll We should vote on all 7 positions. I think we concentate on the ref and ignor the other possitions. All the positions are important

Ron Winter has elevated his work in the last three seasons and I think he has earned the right to toss the coin in Dallas in February.

I don't suppose Bernie Kukar will come out of retirement, but I do hope Ron Winter gets it. Given how long he's been in the league, and the possibility of a strike or lockout next season, I get the eerire feeling this will be his last chance for the "Big Game at the End of the Season."

I would like to see Ed Hochuli, at Superbowl45, but I think it is more probable that Pete Morelli or Ron Winter will be the SB referee.

Kbyrd Jeff Triplette was the official at SB 44 thus making him ineligible for SB 45. Clete Blakeman is a rookie & this makes him ineligible. Bulldog

Um Triplette has never sniffed the super bowl and probably never will.

I'm not afraid to say I went with Ron Winter on this.

If last chance is your measure I would say that is the perfect argument for giving the Super Bowl to...Walt Coleman

I'm going to be a little bit more objective here and go with Steratore based on what I've seen. Having been involved with assigning officials myself for some years, it's easy to hear the talk about "he deserves it," or "this might be so-and-so's last chance," or "he's been around a long time." All nice accolades, but not mitigating factors, in my opinion.
