Is Mike Carey in Philadelphia? We might get a blizzard game Sunday night. It's still a ways out to be sure, but it looks like it. This East Coast storm and Christmas travel won't help the crew. They may have to get going early. hochuli is also coming into atlanta, and from what i've heard from friends in georgia, they've been getting quite some snow NFL Officials fly American Airlines(1st Class) & looks like all the flights are on time or have arrived. His game is not till Monday Night...

If Carey is in PHilly and a blizzard hits I feel bad for his crew. They had that game in Chicago a few weeks.

hochuli is also coming into atlanta, and from what i've heard from friends in georgia, they've been getting quite some snow You have to remember that these are Atlanta people talking, so "quite some snow" is subjective. From what I saw from the National Weather Service, the Atlanta Metro area is expected to see about a total of two inches of snow. Of course, that could be mistaken, but if it goes above freezing, then it shouldn't be too bad. I guess I shouldn't laugh. Even up here in Michigan, where snowy and icy roads are commonplace-especially in residential areas, and we've got snowplows/salt trucks aplenty, and everyone owns multiple snow shovels and has snowbrushes and ice scrapers in their cars, it doesn't keep people from driving like morons and failing to recognize that ice makes stopping (or just driving in a straight line) incredibly difficult. A couple of weeks ago, we had a situation similar to that in Atlanta this weekend... There were only a few inches of snow, but then the temperature dropped dramatically and the snow-packed down from cars, as well as the slush on the roads, all froze into ice. The kicker was that it was too cold for salt to work (not that it stopped the County from dropping salt anyway). On top of that, there was a windstorm that created drifts that caught up people, especially about a half mile down the road from a local college. The college police had to use their SUV to pick up several people who were snowbound in the middle of the night. Wow. For the first time ever, I somehow wandered off topic. Good luck Ed Hochuli and crew getting to the game! And good luck to all of the east coast officials and to the crew working the Philly game. At least I get to see a game played in a blizzard.

NFL ponders postponement of Philly(Sunday Night Football Game(Vikings VS Eagles)) blizzard game wp.me/p14QSB-pTjFootball was meant to be played in the snow. Vince Lombardi is rolling over in his grave after hearing that the league may postpone a potential snow game. Good grief.

NFL ponders postponement of Philly(Sunday Night Football Game(Vikings VS Eagles)) blizzard game wp.me/p14QSB-pTjBoo! I don't want anyone risking their lives to get there, but if the staff and officials can get there, they should play! (too bad Ron "Winter" isn't the official-although I don't think he'd get a kick out of the jokes) I want it to be so snowy that they can't use the high cameras, like in the Fog Bowl. But, despite all that (and I hope they play) I do want everyone to stay safe. After all, it is just a football game.

ABC News confirms that Philadelphia is postponed until Tuesday night.
I guess safety won out, but I still want my blizzard game, so someone owes me big time!
