Granted, discipline was a bit relaxed regarding brawls back then, and numbers weren't announced, but don't you think SOMEONE should have been run in this little set-to between Miami and South Carolina? bit.ly/iwgKxH

Why didn't the crew toss anyone?

Was this before college officials began announcing numbers? Correct. That didn't happen until 2000 or so. Protecting the dignity of the student athlete, etc...........
