Well I guess nobody will be yelling that Scott Green's crew cost Indianapolis the game tonight against New Orleans. Don't think we'll hear any complaints (except from NBC for being stuck with such a fiasco).

I give Green's crew a 3.5.
Very nice game despite the blow out.

From earlier in the day I give Morelli's crew a 3.75 in the Vikings/Packers game.
I thought Lucivansky, FJ89, had a great game making some very tough PI calls. I give him a 3.95 individually. The big ding for this crew was not to eject that Viking player who kicked an opponent in the groin.
The crew also did an excelling job having to go for the entire second half without Butch Hannah who left with an injury. Nice job by Vernatchi moving from back judge to umpire.
All in all, a very nice game for Morelli's crew.

Only saw the Vikes/Packers game today. I do think that Brian Robison should have been tossed, otherwise it was a good day for Morelli's crew. There were perhaps a few missed holds and PI calls, but it's going to happen with just six guys.

I guess there was another kerfuffle between head coaches: yhoo.it/pta7Fp

I would rank the crew slightly higher because I do not fault as greatly the non-ejection since the officials got everything under control quickly and tempers calmed down. You can bet because of the seriousness of an ejection if the league brass determined an ejection was improper that would be a major ding for those members of the crew involved that I can understand being hesitant to eject a player

Did you just reference an old hockey division? If so, you are my favourite member on here! Thanks ;D. That's what Chris Berman has always called the NFC Central/North. As for Robison, where's Ben Dreith when you need him? "He kicked him in the business down there!" ;D

Does anyone have video of the DPI call against Quentin Jammer while covering Holmes just under 4:00 min in the 4th Quarter? The covering official made a motion as if to say that Jammer held down Holmes's arm. From the broadcast replays, it looked like two guys fighting for the ball.

The covering official made a motion as if to say that Jammer held down Holmes's arm. From the broadcast replays, it looked like two guys fighting for the ball. The consensus from what I've read is it was just another example of a horrible call made all day by Ron Winter's crew. Now I don't blame the officials for false starts, lined up in the neutral zonek, delay of games which are black or white calls for the most part and not really judgment. But those calls down field, both ways, ugh ugh ugh. Mike and Mike had a discussion about these calls in general and they really are destroying the game as a spectator event. It's almost as if, as Mike or Mike said, that on every pass pay down field we're expecting some sort of penalty. After a while, it makes the game almost unwatchable. For the performance yesterday, and remember I'm a Jet fans and they won but they had several absurd calls against them too, I would give the crew at best a 1.7; as I said earlier in the thread, there has to be some reason that year after year, Winter's crew leads the world in penalties. Far better, far better to let some marginal thng go and let the player decide the game than to continue making those ticky tack calls.
