Tim Podraza in for Jeff Bergman in the Meadowlands this week. I remember Bergman missing a game a few weeks ago as well.

Corrente missing time reportedly due to illness.
Now, DeFelice had to leave SNF on 12/4/11 after having a leg heavily taped up.
Pretty good luck last year. Now, several injuries this year. Too bad.

Get that leg healed soon, Mr. Defelice! Garth is as tough as they come. He'll be back just as soon as he is able, which is sooner than most!

Wasn't he the one that "tackled" a player as the player was coming towards him? Not exactly a tackle, although it looks a lot worse when played at NFL Films' standard speed, which is about 1/2 to 1/3 the speed of life. He put a forearm out to deflect a heavily padded player barrelling at him. It is more the visual rather than anything. DeFelice also was shoved by Justin Smith of the 49ers in Week 15 last year. For a split second, DeFelice was ready to take him on, and Jerry Seeman quickly separated the two. www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/09000d5d81cf76f0/Smith-gets-ejected

DeFelice has always hustled from the umpire position. It is astounding to see since 2000 he has been hustling on two artificial knees.

That in its own right, it pretty amazing that Garth has two artificial knees, and does what he does, in what was the most dangerous position in officiating football. He moves better than most of the other ump's out there. I wouldn't be surprised to turn on a game this coming Sunday, and there is # 53 out there.

I think Jerry retired a few years ago. ;D

For someone who recently referred to the current St. Louis team as the Cardinals, that is to be expected.
