Melkaman.. Whut joking right I was laughing when I saw ur post... I wasn't joking. Anderson and Green had more crew members make on-field assingments and alternate assingments, which says to me that the crew, and by extension the individuals on those crews, rated higher than Hochuli's crew. Every year, there's always someone who doesn't make it even though we think they will/should. One year, it was Tom White and Bernie Kukar, another year Larry Nemmers, etc.

I do not think anyone ever thought Tom White was deserving of a playoff appearance. The interesting thing about Nemmers was that he did not get one the year BTFS thought he should and then got one the following year when BTFS thought he was not as strong

In his last year, I really thought he deserved an assignment, but MP saw something we didn't...... McAulay is the interesting one. He had a Markbreit like run from 2004-08 working nothing but CC's and Super Bowls. From 2009-11 he's had nothing, CC, and nothing.

R-85 Hochuli had a Great Year!!!!! He is one of the top 3 NFL Officials ;D

CC and SB officials many times do come from a crew that didn't get a wild card or divisional round. Last year, Walt Anderson's crew didn't get a playoff and no one was assigned as a sub. I kind of cringed for Mr. Anderson. We'll then the Super Bowl officials were announced and he got the nod.

Well I thought all along that Pete Morelli would get the SB this year, however John Parry had such a great game on Saturday. I will probably regret this but I am sticking with my gut. PEte Morelli will be the referee for Super Bowl 46.

R: Morelli U: Michalek HL: Stabile LJ: Phares FJ: Zimmer SJ: Carlsen BJ: T. Steratore
ALTS: Carey/Boger, Mello, Cheek, Yette
EDIT: Forgot Buchanon wasn't eligible, and thought Podraza was in 6th year.

Final Guess (with PB assignments known) R: Morelli U: Michalek HL: Stabile LJ: Podraza FJ: Buchanon SJ: Carlsen BJ: T. Steratore ALTS: Carey/Boger, Phares, Cheek, Yette Buchannon and Podraza are not eligible for the Super Bowl. Buchannon has never even worked a playoff game and Podraza is only in his fourth season. Remember you have to be an official for five seasons in order to work the Super Bowl.

Technically, it's six years for a Super Bowl. You must work a conference championship in order to get a Super Bowl assignment, and you have to have 5 years in order to get the CC assignment.

I'm sorry R85 was no better than any of the others, some will disagree, but I think with the exception of several referees, they ALL grade out relatively close. It's hard for some to be unbiased, but that's the way it looks to me, agree or disagree, that's fine.

It's five years for the Super Bowl. Second year guys are eligible for playoff, so it is possible to have a CC by year 4. If that is the case, you can work the SB in your first year of eligibility, a la Tony Steratore. Here are some pics and you can fill in the blanks. R - John Parry U - Carl Paganelli H - Tom Stabile L - F - Gary Cavaletto S - B - Tony Steratore
