He wouldn't overrule unless he thought he had something. The official who called "down by contact" made a call that would have easily been overturned on replay. Leavy was the issue on that one.

6 of the 7 officials had great games today. Had it not been for Bill Leavy's incompetence, the Giants might have won by 30.
Grade: Rice, Hayward, Perlman, Quirk, Rose, Helverson-3.6; Leavy- 0.0.
Kind of sad because Leavy is an official that I've taken a great liking to over the last few seasons.

Leavy has been a consistently good referee over the last few years. This was a surprisingly bad performance. Is this an outlier? I hope so.

127 was pretty awful and one-sided today.
No attacks on integrity, please.

We can criticize Leavy's judgement all we want as long as it is not a personal attack.
Questioning Leavy's personal integrity is out of bounds.
You can be honest and do a bad job.

Ah we have a lot of Giants fans here evidently but still.....
This is why iinstant replay decisions should come out of the NFL office in New York......
Then you wouldn't have questioning anybody's integrity; or would you?

But, the flip side of it is, you can never take the human element out. The replay official (be it in New York or at the stadium) can make a mistake too.
See the Sugar Bowl instant replay.

I would think the league would have more of a benefit (ratings) to see certain teams win, and you open that door if the decisions go to the league office. Keep it with the folks at the stadium, but have the guy in the booth make the calls to speed it up a bit.

Could this be the last game of Mr. Leavy's career? I sure hope not. But my gut thinks differently.

While the majority of the crew had a good to great game, it just wasn't Leavy's week.
-I thought replays were clear on the fumble in the 1st Qtr and should have been NYG ball. -Didn't agree with the RTP in the 4th Qtr since there was no helmet-to-helmet contact. -A late hit on Manning by Bishop of the Packers that went undetected. I think this was 3rd Qtr. -Manning was also contacted in the helmet/face mask during a pass, and by the strict enforcement of contact to the head that the NFL upholds this season, I thought this should have been called. 3rd or 4th Qtr.
