Great to see Jim Joyce back in postseason. Congrats to Scott Barry on his first postseason assignment. Also, Hawk Harrelson must be thrilled that his good buddy Mark Wegner is in postseason.

Congrats to all assigned and good luck.....IMO....Wild Card Crews stronger than LDS. I suspect most if not all the Wild Card umpires will work the LCS.

Looking at list of the WC umpires, it does appear that these would be the CS umpires as well. It will be fascinating to see if that is what MLB has decided to do, and if Sam Holbrook will get a CS assignment.

Conspicuous <sp> by his absence from any of the crews has been good old Bob Davidson unless I missed his name somewhere. If so, please correct me.

Davidson has not and will not work the playoffs this year. In fact he has not worked the playoffs since 2009 and rightfully so IMO.

In game one, Gerry Davis will set a new record for most postseason games umpired. This will be his 112th postseason game, surpassing Jerry Crawford and Bruce Froemming.

Can't quibble with any of these assignments. I have to smirk at the West assignment when I picture Hawk Harrelson's reading the assignments.
