Thanks for your comments, theobserver, and we look forward to your contributions. From the comfort of my home, I initially saw defensive offside all the way, but clearly he did not cross into the neutral zone. Immediately preceding it, though, it looked like Alabama committed a false start. So, we wouldn't have had a snap there to begin with. To be sure, a miscall is still a miscall, but there is a degree of relief that the blocked punt would not have happened if the play was called properly. After having an uneventful first half, the crew really hit a rough patch there coming out of halftime. To me, it looked like they were able to regroup rather than wilt at least.

Wow! Heavy censorship here. Big 10 crew botches national championship creating fake champion and fake heroes. And comment gets deleted? Maybe I should have said "Yeah, they missed a few calls but didn't wilt." Even if those "few" missed calls all went against UGA and handed Bama the game? I"m sure I'll be disbarred for this one. Read the forum rules: refereestats.proboards.com/thread/5232/forum-rules-guidelines
6. Personal comments about officials. While we do allow some negative comments regarding the officials and league employees, please keep it to a minimum. Keep personal comments about officials to what you might say to them in person. Some officials read and lurk in this forum, and we should respect them as much as anyone else here. In any event, personal attacks and name calling are not acceptable.
7. We do not question the integrity of an official or suggest that someone is rigging the result of a game. Merely having multiple calls go against a single team is not evidence that an official is "in the tank" for the other team. In the exceedingly unlikely situation that there is non-empirical evidence of such impropriety, the moderators will assess that situation and address it specifically.
