Yeah, I don't like this, at least on the surface of it. Unless there is some other major thing going on that none of us are privy to (and I think by now, one of the admins would have something leaked to them, even if they couldn't repeat it), I think it goes to the NFL's tendency to have a knee-jerk reaction, as Scott Green said, without actually thinking things through.
