My changes from last year to this year are Michael Smith and Matt Boland returning to the playoffs and Marat Kogut, Nick Buchert, Tre Maddox and Tyler Ford being first timers on the court. With 6 Playoff Officials from last year out due to injury or retirement there are a lot of spots open for returning or new Playoff Officials.

Wow. I wonder why Corbin, Williams, Garretson, Ayotte didn't make it. Also, I didn't see Kogut making it this year as well

Very happy to see all of the first timers. With Monty McCutchen at the helm for a full season it seems like we are finally getting some transparency with our Officials. Not the same guys every single season. The fact that three guys who made the second round last season and were acting CC's this year Ron Garretson, James Williams and Mark Ayotte did not make it tells me bad seasons are not being rewarded just because an Official has made the Playoffs in years previous.
8 of the 28 Officials from the second round last year did not make the playoffs for one reason or another this season so that is really where we are going to see a big turnover. We will need at least 1 new Finals Official for sure and at least three new Conference Finals Officials.
Congrats to all 7 new Playoff Officials. That has got to be the most newbies in 1 Playoffs. It is good for the entire staff to get new guys in because now even the younger can see that they can make the Playoffs. Playoff veterans missing is good to because it can really keep the whole staff in check. For year I have been griping about how the NBA does playoff assignments so I am very happy to see changes.
