Not to get off the track for this discussion, but this all seems to get into the realm of how much turnover is good for the NFL zebra corps. It sounds like a sea change is coming. Whether that means a net improvement (new blood, younger legs and eyes, etc.) or a step backward (loss of experience) in the hopes of moving forward remains to be seen. This is relevant to this year's playoff assignments in the new precedent for giving more than two assignments in a season. If there is a big turnover in staff, multiple assignments may become more common in the next few years-- there may be fewer experienced officials for the biggest games.
(This is all separate from the merits of Boger's case, which seems to revolve around performance-related issues. The KC game was rough.)

Any clues on Why Torbert got nothing. A lot of people on this board had him go to deep in the playoffs. Could he be out of favor with the higher ups...Allen seems to be in the same boat a least he got two alt assignments..

I’m very curious about Torbert. I thought he would grade out in the top tier, for sure.
Someone mentioned Tom White. I know he’s been retired for 15 years, but I remember him as a good official. Is that not the general impression?
I’m trying to remember... Did Tom ever work a conference championship game? I don’t remember him getting any Super Bowls.

According to my very unofficial records, Tom White worked two wild card games, one divisional game, and two Pro Bowls.

My records for Tom White have 2 divisionals , 2 wild cards and 2 Pro Bowls. So we are very close with our records.
