Really iffy DPI by Prukop. Agreed. While there might have technically been a slight restriction on a 49 yard penalty in the 4th quarter I feel like there should be more contact for a flag to be thrown. Will probably be graded as a correct call but I would prefer the flag stay in the pocket on a play that iffy.

It appears that Carl Cheffers and Brad Allen have swapped crews for this week. Cheffers is working with Allen's crew in Washington.

David Johnson breaks several tackles on this 48-yard run.
Line judge Walt Coleman, IV, and field judge Nate Jones both avoid blowing the whistle too early and let Johnson get all the yardage he earned.

Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield fumbled the football on a fourth down run late in the game against the Jets. Mayfield fumbled the ball before crossing the line to gain, and running back Kareem Hunt recovered the fumble behind the spot of the fumble, before it hit the ground. Hunt then advanced the ball beyond the line to gain. Lots to unpack here. By rule, on fourth down or inside the two-minute warning, only the fumbling player is allowed to recover and advance the ball. This play was on fourth down, as well as after the two-minute warning, so that box is checked. Mayfield fumbled the ball, meaning that once he loses possession, only he can recover and advance. Since Hunt recovered behind the spot of the fumble, the ball is dead at that spot. A few years back, this rule caused a safety against the Packers when a running back recovered an Aaron Rodgers fumble which rolled backward into the end zone. The fact that Hunt recovered the ball before it hit the ground has nothing to do with this rule, and does not nullify said rule.

Just had a wild little sequence in Seattle. With the Rams in hurry up mode, Robert Reynolds catches a pass over the middle and goes down untouched. Reynolds gets up and places the ball on the ground, where an opportunistic Seahawks defender picks it up for an apparent game-clinching recovery. After consultation, Bill Vinovich and crew rule Reynolds gave himself up. On top of that, Rams coach Sean McVay gets 15 yards dinged for running onto the field to protest.
