Very marginal Defensive holding call wipes out a KC interception. Not sure if Paganelli or Coleman called it.
Coleman has called both iffy defensive holds. While I think McAulay has an axe to grind, he has a point here. Coleman has to keep his flag in his pocket.
Does it ever happen that a high-ranking league official goes to the officials locker at halftime to have a heart-to-heart with the crew?
I wouldn't put it past them. Has to be very careful. If the heart to heart tears down and is negative, that could put the officials in even worse mental shape for the second half.
But if I were the boss, I'd tell them to ease up on the secondary action. Problem is, the deep judges already set the baseline in the game. What happens if the Bucs get a little grabby, but there is no call because the crew reset their defensive holding parameters at the half?

Cheffers: 3.7 - had a fine game, and called what was there. Bryan: 3.7 - see Cheffers Thomas: 3.8 - good mechanics and judgement Baynes: 3.8 - see Thomas Coleman: 1.8 - too picky Hall: 3.8 - see Thomas and Baynes Paganelli: 3.0 - one bad DPI spoiled a good night.
Crew: 3.37
The Chiefs lost this game because their offense was poor tonight (or the Bucs defense was too good).
Even with the poor calls in the secondary, they still had a chance to punch it in, but had to kick field goals instead of scoring touchdowns.
The strong officials tonight were Cheffers, Bryan, Thomas, Baynes and Hall. One bad call spoiled Paganelli's night. Coleman had a below average game.
As this wraps up, I want to thank once again the staffs of Behind the Football Stripes and Football Zebras for all the up to date information . without them we would be left out of so much. +++++ (5 Stars) THANKS
