I am sorry, but this is a terrible look for hardworking officials across all sports

Tim Peel was the ref who can be heard making the statement Kelly Sutherland was the ref who in a longer clip can be heard agreeing, but without more evidence it is unclear if it is a sarcastic agreement

He was scheduled to retire on April 24. They just moved that up one month.

There used to be what was called the (excuse me), "eff you" call that professional officials sometimes used - especially in baseball.
If a pitcher was starting to get hot and showing the umpire up on the mound, the umpire might "ball" a pitch that went right down the middle. Many times, that got the players attention and they shaped up. Now, with the K-zone and every game shot from multiple angles, the "eff you" call would stick out like a sore thumb.
Don't know if this was the case here, but it is an unfortunate, self-inflicted low note for Peel to go out on.
