Ben Roethlisberger is sacked before he throws the ball
In order for there to be no intentional grounding, there has to be a receiver in the vicinity. If there is no receiver in the area, the quarterback can still ground the pass, as long as the passer out of the pocket and the pass reaches the line of scrimmage.
Had Big Ben not been sacked, this probably would have been grounding.
Ronnie Harrison, Jr., is ejected by Bill Vinovich's crew, via replay.
This is the first ejection of the 2021 season.
Harrison stepped on a Chiefs' player on the Kansas City bench. The Chiefs bench mouthed off at Harrison and the officials threw a flag on the KC bench.
What the officials didn't see was Harrison shoving a Chiefs coach in the face.
Vinovich initially announced only the Kansas City unsportsmanlike conduct foul.
Replay clearly showed Harrison with the facial. There was about a 40-second delay as either the replay official or centralized replay in New York got on the horn and informed the field officials that Harrison had to go.
Vinovich then stepped out and "after discussion" announced Harrison's personal foul and disqualification.
This is exactly what replay is supposed to do if officials miss a personal foul.

Interesting fact. If Min/Cin had finished in a tie, it would have been the 5th time Jim Quirk Jr. worked a tie game. Is that a record for most tie games worked by an official since OT came in 1974.
