The NFL just hired 10 new on-field officials, including the last two CFP National Championship Game Referees (Brandon Cruse of the Big 12 and Duane Heydt of the ACC) as well as Alex Moore of the SEC. I also noticed that former NCAA Referee Rick Loumiet has joined the league as a replay assistant. Congrats to all the new hires! www.footballzebras.com/2022/05/12-new-officials-hired-by-the-nfl-for-the-2022-season/Any predictions for who takes over for the departing white hats? I would have guessed Lo Van Pham in the Big 12, but the NFL hired him too--as a deep wing! I have to think Adam Savoie will get serious consideration in the ACC.

Per the 2022 new hires thread, Savoie was given the white hat in the ACC. ACC has a lot of work to accomplish in replacing 5 top-notch, now NFL-hired officials + a CJ to replace Savoie. Good luck with this!
As for the next Big XII white hat, I'm guessing they hire a white hat from outside the conference. If they keep it in-house, my vote would be Dan Scanlon.

I am thinking Mike Cuttone might be the new Referee in the Big 12. He was a very good CJ in the Big 12 before moving to the MWC as a Referee and has worked the top MWC Bowl Game each of the last 2 seasons. For the SEC there are a number of directions they could go but I am going to guess Jason McArthur. He worked the Rose Bowl last season as a CJ and has worked Bowl Games each of the last 4 seasons. Plus he was a Referee in the Sun Belt previously. Other candidates include Kyle Olson, Chris Snead (although I think that ship has sailed), Dan Gautreaux, Ted Pitts, Kevin Boitman.
