The Tigers-Orioles series in Baltimore is in the hands of Derryl Cousins' crew, which of course includes Jim Joyce. I am glad to see MLB is not afraid to have Jim do Tigers games after what happened last summer. Maybe the NFL could learn a lesson from this.

Jim Joyce is a class act and a role model for every official who steps on the field or court. It is to MLB's credit they assign him Tiger games, and while the call was a regrettable situation, it was a character lesson to all and they moved on. Jim Leyland of the Tigers is also a class act, and I know he has put this behind him. "It's a great day, let's play two!"

If I remember right, Joyce worked the plate for a game that Armando Galarraga pitch later last season.
I'm glad MLB doesn't do things the way the NFL does. Joyce made a mistake and owned up to it, so let's just move on.
