Auger made the playoffs for two seasons early in his career - specifically 2002-03 and 03-04. He has not made the playoffs since.
As you indicated, Martell has never made the playoffs.

Game 7 referees were Walkom, Furlatt, O'Halloran, Watson, O'Rourke and Rooney. Six of the 8 for the Conference Finals?

The surprise on this list is Chris Rooney who hasn't been past the first round yet. Looks like a promotion is in the works. All the others have made it to at least the CF round.

The NHL has announced the Officials selected for the Stanley Cup Playoffs 2011-12:
REFEREES
Eric Furlatt, Marc Joannette, Steve Kozari, Chris Lee, Wes McCauley, Dan O'Halloran, Dan O'Rourke, Kevin Pollock, Chris Rooney, Kelly Sutherland, Stephen Walkom and Brad Watson.
LINESMEN
Derek Amell, Steve Barton, Greg Devorski, Scott Driscoll, Shane Heyer, Brad Kovachik, Steve Miller, Jean Morin, Brian Murphy, Jonny Murray, Pierre Racicot and Jay Sharrers.
tj Comments:
Referees (compared to last year): OUT - Paul Devorski (second round last year) and Tim Peel (a big drop for him - he was in the Conference Finals last year)
IN: Wes McCauley and Chris Rooney - first time at this level for both.
Linesmen: OUT - Brad Lazarowich (second round last year).
IN - Nobody. Recall last year that originally Steve Miller was left off the list because they were investigating the whole issue of the missing Blackhawks puck saga. He was later added, so there were 13 linesmen at this level last year.
It appears Devorski has started the fade that tripped up Fraser and Marouelli. Wonder if he'll even make the playoffs next year.

Devorski turns 54 in August, so it wouldn't shock me if next season is his last.

Tim Peel's status was probably hurt big time by the absolutel;y brutal officiating in the 6th NYR-OTT game!

Additionally, Devorski was singled out by the game supervisor (I think it was Mick McGeough) for a questionable goalie interference call in the Chi-Phx series.

Walkom misses the Torres hit. Then he allows the game 7 OT goal while Knuble runs Thomas into the net. That was a blatant penalty. And he is in the second round? No accountability.

Tim Peel's status was probably hurt big time by the absolutel;y brutal officiating in the 6th NYR-OTT game! Funny how Peel was affected but Kozari makes the 2nd round. I don't know which of the two made the two brutal goaltender interference calls in the second pedriod which ultimately turned that game and series around. I know Peel was the official at the net when Ottawa scored the 2nd goal and got it right that although there was a distinct kicking motion, the kicker missed the puck so that part was good but one has to ask if there was goaltender interference merited on that call or was it the responsibility of the unnecessary ref out at centre ice?

Brutal, brutal game by Mark Jeanette and Brad Watson last night. Call an "over the glass" penalty on the Devils' Kovalchuk in the second period when the puck clearl deflected off a Flyer player's stick (I'm one of the few who hates that rule. It should only be called if a player deliberately shoots the puck over the glass but that's me). Then they start letting everything go during the overtime (and that's fine, that's the way the game is supposed to be called. You don't make a call in overtime unless it's a blatant foul tht deprives a team of a clear scoring opportunity and even then, for years they let those plays go and allowed the players to decide the game). Then with all this going on, they nail the Devils for a phantom "boarding" call that eventhe supposedly neutral NBC announcers blasted as a ridiculous call in overtime. Luckily the Flyers did not score on that power play but it was brutal. (and even Flyers fans agreed on that).

I was surprised seeing O'Rourke/Rooney working this game together. Two up and coming Refs. I was expecting to see a combination of Walkom, O'Halloran, Sutherland leading the charge. One of these two if not both may make the Finals with Walkom and O'Halloran. Sutherland is right there, the Finals I think may have past Brad Watson and Mark Joanette.
I am usually wrong.
