I'm sorry to hear this. He touched many lives while officiating. My sympathy to all who knew and loved him.

I have to admit I've never heard of him. What years did he work and did he have anything noteable?

Deep wing 107. Worked from 1978 to mid-90s.
He never worked a Super Bowl and worked the playoffs about half the years he was in the league.

Kearney started as a back judge (now FJ) on Fred Silva's crew in 1978. In 1983 he was a swing official and also worked as a SJ. He retired after the 1993 season.

FredFan7 it is ashame that Jim Kearney never officiated at a Superbowl.
