Officials may soon have to do some more officiating and be involved with some more heavy play if Jerry Jones has his way. Of course, football has some ludicrous rules and the idea that if a losing team is out of time outs and the leading team gets a first down with less than 2:40 to play, the game has been decided. They simply stay in the huddle till the 2 minute warning, take a knee three times and the game is over. Of course Tampa Bay upset the equilibrium which some may have mnissed because of the other little matter going on but Jerry Jones came out and said the "victory formation" should no longer be allowed. I agree. The game should be played to its duratin. I think in the CFL or Arena football or somethng like that in the last two minutes on any running play that doesn't gain, the clockstops until the snap. Of course that will add intensity to that last minute especially in a 1 possession game.
Any thoughts from an official's view just to lighten up the tension around here a bit.

In a one possession game it is one thing, but if a team is down 21 with under 2 minutes to go they are not coming back and all removing "victory formation" does is invite injury (well except if you are playing Tampa Bay when they may still injure you in "victory formation") which is pointless. If he really wanted to change something I would say that he should lower the play clock to 25 seconds in the last 2 minutes of each half

I think Jerry Jones should worry more about getting the lockout resolved instead of searching for solution to a non-existent problem.

I was about to chime in, but then I saw FF7's response. 'Nuff said.
And, I get to pocket my .02
