Here is a video from 2003 with Corrente's crew, sorry for the crappy quality. They had a wild finish to the game including an Onside kick, Pass Interference Call and a game winning Touchdown. On the game winning Touchdown, the Receiver only got 1 foot down in bounds but it was ruled a TD because Mark Steinkerchner and Craig Wrolstad ruled the receiver was forced out. All I have to say is I am glad this rule does not exist anymore.
On another note, Corrente had a good crew. Along with Corrente they had Darrell Jenkins,Aaron Pointer, Mark Steinkerchner, Doug Toole, Don Carey and Craig Wrolstad. 5 of the 7 members are still current Officials. Even though this was a good crew, they had a rough year in 2003 with only 2 out of 7 members recieving on-field assignments and they were the Pro-Bowl which hardly counts. However, this was 1 of 2 years that they took the CC Officials from the first 2 rounds.

I remember this game.
This was the year before I made my college conference, and I remember really getting into the book with rules, interpretations, etc. Force-outs are rare, and seeing this play helped me understand the intent.
Up here in Canada, we have the force out and it is a fabulous rule. Now in a professional game, I can see why they wouldn't want it. The Canadian twist is that only one foot in necessary to touch in bounds, so the force-out provision is when contact is made with the receiver airborne.

That was back when Corrente had early playoff success then missed three years straight. It seemed like he was at a crossroads as to whether he'd be a playoff official or an also-ran. Well a few years later he got Super Bowl 41.

At 1:40 I like Corrente's hand clap first down as a hat tip to Tommy Bell and Fred Silva!

This call was nailed by Wrolstad, who was a rookie FJ, and is still talked about in NFL officiating circles to this day. Steinkerchner came down and just verified what happened; Wrolstad called it all by himself.

Probably the call of Wrolstad's life (or maybe top three after over a decade in the league). I wonder if he is still a candidate for referee?

And now 2 members of this crew will be working the Super Bowl Tommorow!
