reading that link, Tim Tschida was 25 when he made it to the majors. I do not think there is anyone that young in AAA (and possibly lower)

Joe West started when he was 24 years old. Billy Evans is the youngest umpire ever at age 22.
Even if he missed service time in 2000 and 2001, he still has the chance break Bruce Froemming's service record of 37 years. He is not yet 60.

Right you are. He lost quite a bit of weight last season. If he takes care of himself and if he wants to keep doing it, he can set the longevity record.
