Thanks for the post! I think the crews are pretty well spread out. Of the teams of four, looks like we have a mix talents. I don't think we have a far and away top crew.

These crews are pretty even. I would say Joyce, Davis and Hallion have the best crews while I am a little shaky on the Hirschbeck, Demuth and Barrett crews

Good to see John Hirschbeck back. Surprised they split him up from Wally Bell. They have been together as crewmates for about 10 years. Iassogna, Gibson, Wegner and Marquez slide into 2-spot, to open the year and Davidson drops to 3 slot in crew rotation. Dreckman dropped from 2 to 4, I believe injury related missing all of last year. Good Luck to all....

I do not think the order the umpires are listed means anything . Most of the crews were not listed based on seniority.

I called mlb, Porter cc Layne, Gonzales cc Gorman and Carapazza cc Cederstrom. Also cc decides the placement on the bases for the other 3 umpires for opening date then they rotate from there.

I read somewhere each crew chief can submit a wish list of who he wants on crew. MLB tries to give each crew chief at least one person from this request. I always wondered how it is determined to assign a rookie to which crew chief as some work better with than others.

Mark Wegner changed his number from 47 to 14 and Bill Miller changed from 14 back to his old number 26.

I wish mlb would update the umpire roster before the regular season starts.
