Video with story here: www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/blog/eye-on-college-basketball/21877771/odd-ending-gives-charlotte-controversial-a10-w-over-richmondLong story short: Richmond, up 3 on Charlotte, fouls before the 3-point shot. On the front end of the 1-and-1, the Richmond player shoves the Charlotte player under the basket and gets called for a technical. Charlotte converts the 2 shots for the T, plus both ends of the 1-and-1 for a 1-point lead. After a foul on the inbounds pass, Richmond coach Chris Mooney loses it and gets 2 T's and the gate. All told, Charlotte takes 10 free throws in the last 5 seconds . A little help: unless I missed something, the Richmond player was called for a Technical, not a Flagrant 1, on the shove. A technical is 2 with the ball at the point of interruption. In this case, the point of interruption was the back end of the 1-and-1. Why was Charlotte allowed to inbound the ball after the free throw sequence?
