A preseason game between the then-St. Louis Cardinals and defending champion Chicago Bears gets completely out of hand during the 3rd quarter in 1986. Looks like the stomp by Cardinals LB #52 instigates the whole deal. It got so bad that Cardinals coach Gene Stallings pulls his team off the field for a moment before cooling down.
The officials: R- Pat Haggerty (I'm sure he had a laundry list of ejections & reports to the NFL office) U- Hendi Ancich HL- Frank Glover LJ- Howard Roe BJ- Jim Poole SJ- Dick Creed FJ- Don Habel

Stallings was completely out of control. His Cardinals really decided to goon up the game.
Glover and Creed are lucky that they didn't get seriously injured.
Poole came all the way across the field to the opposite sideline to help break up the scuffle.
Looks like Howard Roe just kept the spot! Ha!
