COLLEGE FOOTBALL OFFICIATING, LLC POLICY STATEMENT ON OFFICIAL’S STANDARD UNIFORM Often at this time of the year college officials are asked to support various charitable causes by making changes to the approved uniform. These requests usually entail officials being asked to wear colored uniform items, such as whistles, beanbags, flags, hats, wristbands, lanyards, etc., etc. While these causes are highly worthy, officials must find ways to support them other than by granting these requests for non-standard uniform items. Please be reminded that all NCAA football officials must wear the standard uniform with no variation of colors. There will be no exceptions. Rogers Redding CFO National Coordinator There was a game this past week where not only were there pink whistles, but the referee wore a PINK HAT!

RR is a party pooper as always. More concerned about what is legislated by rule than using common sense. A great Secretary Rules Editor, but not a very good Nation Coordinator.

I'm glad he doesn't allow this kind of stuff. Work your ballgame in the standard uniform and you're free to make all the social and political statements you want on your own time.

have to agree with andrew. other than initials for a fallen official, i dont think the uniform should be altered. you are there to be seen but not stand out, or at least thats what all officials tell me.
