Big Ten had Alex Kemp and Bryan Neale among the 21 and the Big 12 had Scott Novak and Eugene Hall.

So are they taking their new hires from the list of 21,because if that's the case the numbers are wrong because on the list of 21 their are only one candidate on the list from the big 12 and from the big10, but th list says that they are hiring 2 candidate from each of those conferences. It is possible that some candidates who qualified for the advanced training could not attend for one reason or another. Since they would have to split between their conference and the NFL for the summer, it may have been logistically impossible for some.

All hires will come from the ADP (Advanced Developmental Program) aka "the 21".
All of this years hires participated in the program last season.

1) The two fouls referenced were not Shawn Hochuli's responsibility 2) In college, Shawn Hochuli cannot sua sponte initiate a challenge. It has to come from the Replay official or from a coach's challenge. Absent either one Hochuli is powerless to act especially when it is not his job to count the Arizona players

"Don't get me wrong, my favorite team played poorly and deserved to lose, so I'm not being sour grapes, but still, it was all the referees fault." Uh huh.......

The conferences listed on the advanced training roster list on Football Zebras was based on looking through play-by-play sheets. It is likely that some officials changed conferences between the time of the source material and present day. Or my handwriting was confusing me. If anyone has corrections to the roster, let me know. www.footballzebras.com/2013/08/28/7607/

Thanks. To clarify for anyone who descends on the thread, those are corrections to the last year's development roster and not (necessarily) a hire.

OK. 11 calls have been made by the NFL last week. So who are they coming from the developmental roster list? I do know this, Bonet and Martinez are close friends of Riveron(Miami connection) and both are Hispanic.(minority increase)

I have a source that gets information second hand, but I trust him on this one.
My source can confirm that Alex Kemp (B1G referee with former side judge experience) has been hired.
I've also heard from my source and have seen it on other message boards that Scott Novak (Big 12 referee) has been hired.
If they excel at their break-in positions (probably deep officials) then they will probably be made referees in the next five years.

You are correct as usual. The three other college white hats hired among the 11 in addition to Hochuli are Kemp of the Big 10, Novak from the Big 12 and Allen out of the ACC.

Novak and Allen will be Referees very soon and I do not think Hochuli and Kemp will be too far behind them. Novak and Allen were among the elite Referees in the country and will make great NFL white hats.
